When you’re doing business with a meaning you are on your PATH, and despite the hurdles you will not be derailed

Starting a business is no joke. I wonder, what the ratio is of business successes to fails in your friend’s circle I’d say in my friend’s circle it is way above 50%. Investors say that only 1/5th of all businesses survive past their 5th year. So, how come my friends’ circle is more successful than the average?
Well, a lot of it has to do with the fact that a good portion of my friends are my MBA classmates, so they do have the business methodologies and tools. But knowing the tools is not all. I wrote in a post some time ago that my biggest learning from the MBA is the confidence I got that I could deal with any business problem.

Alright, so how to increase your chances of success?

This part is all about inner work, my friends.

To gain more confidence, you have to be absolutely certain in the value of your contribution. If your goal is bigger than yourself, this means it contributes to others by using your unique gifts, so you feel “called” to do it.

This is called “Business with a meaning”.

When you’re doing business with a meaning you are on your PATH, and despite the hurdles you will not be derailed.
The other inner work component is gaining INNER BALANCE.

Inner balance is very similar to confidence in a way that it is connected to who you are. But while confidence is action oriented, inner balance is internal knowing. Your inner balance feeds your confidence.
